Most routine current-family communication happens in the Band app. Pack 145 and Troop 45 each use their own private Band group for reminders, event updates, discussion, and routine coordination.
Email is still used when it makes sense, especially for registration details, longer leader messages, forms, payment reminders, or communication that needs to be easier to search later.
Families should also watch for email from council or Scouting America after registering. Those messages may include registration confirmations, training notices, camp information, advancement system notices, or council event details.
For broader scouting news, parents should also follow the Three Rivers District and Blue Ridge Council public channels. Those pages are useful for council camp information, district events, training reminders, and area-wide scouting updates.
There is not one public file drive for parents to browse. Public guidance belongs on this website; private details and last-minute updates go through the appropriate Pack or Troop Band group after signup.
After your family joins, the Cubmaster or Scoutmaster will invite you to the correct Band group. Families should wait for that unit-specific invitation rather than trying to find a group publicly.
Quick checklist
- Install Band before or shortly after joining.
- Watch for a Pack 145 or Troop 45 invitation from the Cubmaster or Scoutmaster.
- Keep Band notifications on for the unit group so event updates are not missed.
- Check the email address used for registration, including spam or promotions folders.
- Follow Three Rivers District and Blue Ridge Council channels for broader scouting updates.
